Exploration Momentum Builds at Hopes Hill

Golden Horse Minerals Limited (ASX, GHM) has unveiled a fresh tranche of encouraging assay results from its Hopes Hill gold project in Western Australia's Southern Cross region. The latest drilling campaign has delivered multiple high-grade gold intercepts, including standout results such as 3 meters at 8.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 222 meters depth, and broader mineralised zones extending beyond previously identified lower-grade areas.

These results not only reinforce the presence of a substantial gold system beneath the historic 1.3-kilometer-long Hopes Hill open pit but also highlight a northern strike extension that could significantly expand the project's footprint. The mineralisation is interpreted as a south-plunging ore body, with grades and widths that suggest a robust geological model is taking shape.

Strategic Drilling and Geophysical Surveys Underway

Building on these promising results, Golden Horse is planning a series of deeper diamond drill holes with reverse circulation (RC) precollars to test the depth extensions and plunge of the mineralisation. Complementing this, down hole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys are scheduled to commence mid-July, targeting sulphide-rich zones that often correlate with gold mineralisation. These surveys, managed by specialist consultants Newexco, aim to refine drill targeting and uncover off-hole conductors that could indicate further mineralised shoots.

Managing Director Nicholas Anderson expressed optimism about the project's trajectory, noting that the combination of drilling rigs on site and upcoming geophysical work has the Hopes Hill area "buzzing like a saddling yard before a muster." He emphasized the strength of the geological model, particularly with recent holes intercepting higher-grade mineralisation beneath previously lower-grade zones, underscoring the project's exploration upside.

Validation and Broader Exploration Context

Alongside Hopes Hill, Golden Horse has also confirmed that conventional fire assaying methods are adequate for characterising gold mineralisation at the nearby Irene Betty prospect. This validation simplifies future assay workflows and supports ongoing exploration efforts in the region.

Since January 2025, the company has drilled 59 RC holes totaling over 12,000 meters at Hopes Hill, consistently encountering wide, high-grade intersections. A new structural model completed in June supports a south-plunging orientation of the mineralisation, providing a refined framework for future drilling and resource estimation.

With recent capital raising completed, Golden Horse is well-funded to advance its exploration program this quarter, aiming to convert these promising results into a defined resource and ultimately, a viable mining operation.
