Antipa Minerals Unveils Major Gold-Copper Extensions at Minyari Dome
Antipa Minerals reports significant assay results from its CY2025 Phase 1 drilling at the Minyari Gold-Copper Project, revealing substantial resource extensions and new discoveries. With Phase 2 drilling and a Pre-feasibility Study underway, the company is advancing towards a potential standalone gold development.
- 41m at 1.8 g/t gold and 0.18% copper intercept at Minyari South
- New gold-copper zones discovered south of Fiama and Rizzo
- Phase 1 drilling completed with 304 holes totaling 34,179m
- Mineralisation remains open across multiple deposits
- Phase 2 drilling to commence mid-August with 25,000–35,000m planned
Expanding the Minyari Gold-Copper Frontier
Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX, AZY) has delivered a compelling update from its CY2025 Phase 1 drilling program at the 100%-owned Minyari Gold-Copper Project, situated in Western Australia's prolific Paterson Province. The latest batch of assay results confirms meaningful extensions to known mineralisation and unveils new gold-copper zones, reinforcing the project's potential as a significant standalone gold development.
The Phase 1 program, now complete, encompassed 304 drill holes totaling over 34,000 metres, combining air core, reverse circulation (RC), and diamond core drilling. Results to date, representing 53% of assays received, highlight impressive intercepts such as 41 metres at 1.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.18% copper from near surface at Minyari South. This includes high-grade intervals with up to 20.2 g/t gold and notable copper, silver, and cobalt credits.
Multiple Deposits Show Open Mineralisation
Extensions have been confirmed across several key deposits within the Minyari Dome, including GEO-01 Main Zone, Fiama, Minella, and Rizzo. The mineralisation remains open both down-dip and along strike, suggesting further resource growth potential. Noteworthy new discoveries south of Fiama and Rizzo have revealed broad zones of gold-copper mineralisation, with intercepts such as 60 metres at 0.4 g/t gold and 0.15% copper from shallow depths.
These findings are particularly significant given the project's location amidst world-class neighbours like Greatland Resources’ Telfer Mine and Rio Tinto-Sumitomo’s Winu deposit. Antipa’s Managing Director, Roger Mason, emphasised that the steady stream of new discoveries and resource extensions underpin the Minyari Dome’s capacity to support a long-life, standalone gold operation.
Looking Ahead, Phase 2 and Pre-feasibility Study
With Phase 1 drilling wrapped up, Antipa is poised to launch Phase 2 drilling in mid-August 2025, targeting 25,000 to 35,000 metres of further air core, RC, and diamond core drilling. This next phase will include follow-up on outstanding high-priority targets and one remaining diamond core hole from Phase 1. Concurrently, the company is advancing a Pre-feasibility Study (PFS) scheduled for completion in June 2026, aimed at refining the development opportunity and de-risking the project.
The updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), incorporating the latest drilling results, is expected by September 2025. The current Minyari Dome resource stands at approximately 2.4 million ounces of gold, alongside significant copper, silver, and cobalt credits. The ongoing exploration success and technical progress position Antipa well to unlock further value in this richly endowed region.
Strategic Positioning in a World-Class Province
Antipa’s extensive 4,100 square kilometre tenement package in the Paterson Province offers access to multiple high-potential greenfield targets beyond the Minyari Dome. The company’s exploration strategy balances resource growth with new discovery drilling, supported by robust geological modelling and metallurgical test work. The region’s established infrastructure and proximity to major mining operations enhance the project's attractiveness.
As Antipa continues to expand its in-house expertise and technical capabilities, the market will be watching closely for further assay results, resource updates, and PFS milestones that could shape the future of the Minyari Gold-Copper Project.
Bottom Line?
Antipa Minerals’ latest drilling success at Minyari Dome sets the stage for a transformative resource update and development decision in 2026.
