Strong Start at Forrest

Future Battery Minerals Ltd (ASX, FBM) has delivered a promising update from its Phase 1 Reverse Circulation drilling campaign at the Miriam Project, situated in the prolific Coolgardie Goldfields of Western Australia. The initial batch of assay results from 10 holes drilled exclusively at the Forrest prospect have surpassed expectations, revealing thick zones of high-grade gold mineralisation within shallow oxidised rock.

The standout intercept came from hole FGRC004, which returned 33 metres at 1.57 grams per tonne gold from 35 metres downhole, including a higher-grade section of 16 metres at 3.10 grams per tonne. This result not only confirms historical gold lodes but also extends known mineralisation significantly westward, highlighting the prospect’s potential to grow along strike both north and south.

Fresh Rock Lodes and Open Mineralisation

Beyond the oxide zones, the drilling program uncovered new primary fresh rock gold lodes in the southwest extension of Forrest. Hole FGRC003 intercepted 12 metres at 1.56 grams per tonne gold from 75 metres, including a high-grade 1 metre interval at 5.21 grams per tonne. These fresh rock discoveries are particularly encouraging as they suggest mineralisation continues at depth, an area that remains open and ripe for further exploration.

Additional infill drilling results have reinforced the thickness and grade of the shallow oxide zones, with multiple intercepts exceeding historical data. The mineralised system at Forrest remains open in multiple directions, offering substantial upside potential as Future Battery Minerals refines its geological model and targets extensions.

Looking Ahead, Canyon and Phase 2 Drilling

While the Forrest results are compelling, the company is awaiting assay results from 11 holes drilled at the nearby Canyon prospect, located 1.5 kilometres south. Canyon represents a high-priority target due to its location on the same sheared contact as Forrest and strong soil gold anomalies. These results are expected within weeks and could further enhance the project’s outlook.

With a robust cash position of A$6.4 million and zero debt as of June 2025, Future Battery Minerals is well positioned to advance its exploration agenda. The company plans to commence a Phase 2 drilling program following the receipt of all Phase 1 assay results.
