Stavely Minerals Limited has announced the completion of its Phase 2 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Fairview North gold prospect, part of its 100%-owned Stavely Copper-Gold Project in western Victoria. This latest campaign, comprising 23 holes, builds on promising Phase 1 results that revealed broad zones of shallow gold mineralisation with significant internal high-grade intervals.
The Phase 1 drilling had already set a strong precedent, with standout intercepts such as 59 metres at 1.31 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from surface in hole SFRC006, including narrower zones grading up to 10.81 g/t. Phase 2 aimed to confirm the orientation of these mineralised zones and extend them along strike, successfully targeting flexures within the structural corridor that hosts the mineralisation.
Extending the Gold Footprint
In addition to the Fairview North program, Stavely completed an extra RC hole at the nearby Fairview South prospect, following up on a remarkable Phase 1 intercept of 40 metres at 1.96 g/t gold, which included a blistering 1 metre at 49.2 g/t. The company is also progressing a soil auger sampling program south of these drill holes, with approximately 75% of samples dispatched for assay.
