Sprintex Limited (ASX, SIX) has reached a pivotal moment in its collaboration with Mest Water, delivering and commencing commissioning of fully integrated Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems at Mest Water’s Netherlands facility. This marks the final step before scaling up production of the ZLD-UP zero-liquid-discharge manure processing units, which promise to revolutionize nutrient recycling in agriculture.

The integrated control systems combine Sprintex’s high-speed Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) compressors with advanced IoT-enabled automation, enabling fully autonomous operation and remote diagnostics. This leap from supplying components to delivering a turnkey system positions Sprintex as a key technology partner in Mest Water’s innovative manure-to-water process.

The European Union’s newly legislated RENURE framework, which endorses recovered nitrogen and ammonia from manure as valid agricultural fertilisers, underpins a significant market opportunity.
