Antipa Minerals Extends High-Grade Gold-Copper Zones at Minyari Dome
Antipa Minerals reports robust high-grade gold and copper assay results from its 2025 drilling program at the Minyari Gold-Copper Project, highlighting significant resource growth potential and advancing pre-feasibility study progress.
- High-grade gold-copper intersections at Fiama and Minyari deposits
- Notable 53m at 1.9 g/t gold including 1m at 32.6 g/t gold from Fiama
- Peak assay of 422 g/t gold recorded at Minyari deposit
- Phase 2 drilling ongoing with up to 35,000m planned
- Pre-Feasibility Study resource definition drilling completed
Strong Assay Results Reinforce Resource Growth
Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX – AZY) has released a fresh batch of assay results from its 2025 drilling campaign at the Minyari Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia's Paterson Province. The latest data reveals high-grade gold and copper intersections, particularly at the Fiama and Minyari deposits, extending mineralisation both down-dip and along strike. These results underscore the project's robust resource growth potential within the broader Minyari Dome system.
Among the highlights is a 53-metre intersection grading 1.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including a remarkable 1-metre interval at 32.6 g/t gold and 0.24% copper from just 200 metres below surface at Fiama. At Minyari, a standout assay of 422 g/t gold was recorded, marking the highest grade encountered to date at the deposit. These findings build on previous high-grade hits, reinforcing the scale and quality of the Minyari Dome development opportunity.
Drilling Programmes and Project Advancement
The company has completed the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) Resource Definition drilling phase, comprising 81 holes for 17,746 metres, with assay results returned for 71 holes. This phase has confirmed strong continuity of gold-copper mineralisation and provided critical data to de-risk and refine the project’s development potential. Concurrently, sterilisation drilling to test proposed infrastructure and waste dump sites is ongoing.
Phase 2 discovery-focused drilling remains underway, with 290 holes for 23,265 metres completed and assay results for 7,694 metres returned so far. The program is scheduled to extend up to 35,000 metres, targeting new gold-copper zones and aiming to deliver further resource expansion. Notably, recent drilling south of Fiama and Rizzo has identified a new zone of mineralisation, suggesting potential for a maiden resource in this area.
Strategic Location and Regional Context
Minyari Project’s 4,100 square kilometre tenure is situated in a world-class mineral province, hosting significant resources including 2.5 million ounces of gold, alongside copper, silver, and cobalt. The project neighbors major operations such as Greatland Resources’ Telfer Mine and Havieron development, Rio Tinto-Sumitomo’s Winu deposit, and others, positioning Antipa well within a highly prospective gold-copper corridor.
Managing Director Roger Mason emphasised the consistency and quality of the results, noting that the ongoing drilling and PFS workstreams are advancing rapidly. He highlighted the exciting potential for further discoveries and resource growth, setting the stage for a substantial standalone gold-copper development.
Looking Ahead
Antipa plans to update its Mineral Resource Estimate incorporating the 2025 drilling results by the end of the year. Meanwhile, metallurgical, geotechnical, and hydrogeological studies continue to progress, supporting the project's advancement towards development. The company is also actively pursuing permitting activities to facilitate future mining operations.
While the true widths of mineralisation remain to be fully determined and some assay results are pending, the current data affirms the Minyari Dome’s significant potential. Investors and analysts will be watching closely as further assay results and technical studies unfold, which will be critical in shaping the project's valuation and development timeline.
Bottom Line?
Antipa’s Minyari Dome is shaping up as a formidable gold-copper project, with ongoing drilling and studies poised to unlock further value.
Questions in the middle?
- How will pending assay results impact the overall resource estimate and grade profile?
- What are the timelines and key milestones for permitting and project development?
- How does Minyari Dome’s resource growth compare to nearby regional peers like Telfer and Havieron?
