Second Diamond Rig Boosts Gateway’s Yandal Drilling; 19 Gold Nuggets Found

Expanding Exploration at Yandal

Gateway Mining Limited (ASX, GML) is ramping up its exploration activities at the Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia as it approaches the end of 2025. The arrival of a second diamond drilling rig marks a significant step in accelerating the completion of critical drill holes across multiple prospects, including Comanche, Haflinger, and the Dusk ‘til Dawn region. Early drilling has already confirmed the presence of sought-after intrusive-related gold mineralisation at Comanche, heightening anticipation for forthcoming assay results.

The company plans to drill three additional holes at Dusk ‘til Dawn, targeting zones with potentially larger-scale mineralisation, including a key sanukitoid intrusive contact zone believed to be highly prospective. Following these, both rigs will shift focus to Great Western to undertake maiden stratigraphic drilling into an at-surface gold-mineralised corridor, a first for this area.

New Gold Nuggets Bolster Prospectivity at Great Western

Recent prospecting at Great Western has yielded 19 additional gold nuggets totaling 23.2 grams, discovered across three distinct zones along the margins of a modeled intrusive unit. These findings reinforce the prospectivity of the dolerite contact zones, which share structural similarities with major gold deposits such as Northern Star Limited’s Jundee mine. The nuggets, recovered using metal detectors, range in size up to 7.6 grams and were found near surface, though they have yet to be assayed to confirm purity or grade.

Complementing the nugget discoveries, a high-resolution ground gravity survey is 60% complete along the Great Western ‘Splay’ structure. This geophysical work aims to refine drill targeting by better defining structural trends and the intrusive contact, with two stratigraphic diamond holes planned to test these key zones.

Glenburgh South Aeromagnetic Survey Sets Stage for 2026

Beyond Yandal, Gateway is advancing a large-scale aeromagnetic and radiometric survey at its Glenburgh South Gold Project, covering approximately 620 square kilometres with 50-metre line spacing. This survey, conducted by MAGSPEC Airborne Surveys, is designed to map structural trends and alteration zones that will guide initial exploration activities next year, including soil sampling and geological mapping. Glenburgh South’s proximity to Benz Mining Corp’s promising Glenburgh Project adds strategic interest to this work.

Financial Position and Outlook

Gateway remains well funded to support its aggressive exploration agenda, holding approximately $13.1 million in cash and liquid securities at the end of the September quarter, supplemented by a $22.5 million capital raising completed thereafter. The company expects assay results from both diamond and aircore drilling programs to be released soon, which will be pivotal in assessing the potential scale and grade of mineralisation across its projects.
