Stavely’s Freddy’s Find Prospect Spans 2km x 750m with Drilling 25% Complete

Exploration Progress at Stavely Copper-Gold Project

Stavely Minerals Limited (ASX, SVY) has reported significant progress in its ongoing exploration activities within the Stavely Copper-Gold Project in western Victoria. The company has completed Phase 3 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at the Fairview South gold prospect and is advancing a wide-spaced reconnaissance RC drilling program at the large-scale Freddy’s Find breccia-hosted gold prospect.

Freddy’s Find, A Large-Scale, Concealed Gold Target

Freddy’s Find, previously known as the S41 prospect, is emerging as a compelling early-stage discovery opportunity. Hidden beneath approximately 50 metres of younger basalt cover, this hydrothermal mineralised system extends roughly 2,000 metres by 750 metres. The prospect’s mineralisation style is characterised as porphyry-related epithermal carbonate-base metal-gold, a prolific style known for hosting significant gold deposits in the South-West Pacific Rim.

Reconnaissance drilling at Freddy’s Find is about 25% complete, with initial RC holes drilled on a 200-metre spacing targeting areas previously used as grazing paddocks. The program will resume in early 2026 as wheat crops are harvested, allowing better access to the paddocks. Stavely’s exploration team is focused on delineating higher-grade and more coherent gold mineralisation within this extensive system.

Fairview South Drilling and Soil Sampling

At Fairview South, the recently completed Phase 3 RC drilling has provided further geological insights. The prospect is situated on the margins of a large magnetic feature interpreted as a buried intrusion, with abundant gossanous float material at surface. Textural evidence from quartz veins and alteration minerals suggests a complex history of mineralisation consistent with quartz-sulphide-gold and low-sulphidation epithermal styles.

Stavely plans to extend soil auger sampling eastward in the new year, targeting paddocks currently under harvest. This will complement the drilling data and help refine exploration targets.

Historical Context and Technical Insights

The Freddy’s Find prospect has a rich exploration history dating back to the early 1990s, with airborne magnetic surveys and aircore drilling programs conducted by previous explorers. Stavely Minerals is the first to successfully penetrate the basalt cover with drilling, revealing a large hydrothermal alteration system with widespread sericite-silica-pyrite alteration and associated gold, silver, lead, zinc, arsenic, and antimony anomalies.

Recent petrographic studies confirm strong hydrothermal alteration and the presence of sulphides such as pyrite, galena, and chalcopyrite within breccia-hosted mineralisation. These findings support the prospect’s potential to host significant gold mineralisation analogous to well-known deposits like Mt Leyshon and Kidston in Queensland.

Looking Ahead, Assays and Further Exploration

Final assay results from both the Fairview South and initial Freddy’s Find drilling programs are anticipated in early January 2026. Stavely Minerals has also planned an Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical survey at Freddy’s Find to further delineate targets before resuming RC drilling to test extensions and refine the understanding of the mineralised system.
