Flynn Gold Unveils High-Grade Veins at Double Event Prospect in Tasmania

A New Chapter at Golden Ridge

Flynn Gold Limited (ASX – FG1) has revealed a promising new high-grade gold discovery at its 100%-owned Double Event Prospect, part of the broader Golden Ridge Project in Northeast Tasmania. The recent surface trenching program uncovered multiple quartz-sulphide veins rich in gold over a 275-metre strike length, marking a significant step forward in the company’s exploration efforts.

The discovery is notable for the quality and continuity of mineralisation. Assay results from initial trench channel samples returned impressive grades, including intervals such as 2.6 metres at 6.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold with individual vein segments reaching up to 23.5 g/t. These veins occur as discrete structures or tight swarms, consistent with the geological setting of an intrusive-related gold system, which Flynn believes could host a large-scale deposit.

Strategic Exploration and Infrastructure Advantage

Located approximately one kilometre north of Flynn’s high-grade Trafalgar Prospect, Double Event benefits from excellent access to infrastructure, a factor that could streamline future development. The trenches were excavated perpendicular to the mineralisation trend, confirming quartz-sulphide veins over a substantial strike length and across a 65-metre elevation range, suggesting mineralisation continuity down-dip.

Flynn’s Managing Director and CEO, Neil Marston, highlighted the significance of the trenching results, describing them as some of the best recorded by the team to date. With drilling permits already secured, the company plans to initiate the first-ever drilling program at Double Event shortly after completing ongoing drilling at the nearby Grenadier Prospect. This drilling will target the high-grade vein swarms beneath the trenching area, aiming to better define the extent and grade of the mineralisation.

Next Steps and Broader Project Potential

Further exploration activities are well underway, with additional trenches planned to test strike extensions both east and west of the current work area. An infill soil sampling program will also be conducted to refine target zones for future trenching. The company has established drill pads and submitted work plans for expanded drilling beneath trenches 5 to 9, underscoring a methodical approach to delineating this new discovery.

The Golden Ridge Project itself remains a compelling exploration frontier, with a 9-kilometre-long zone of intrusive-related gold mineralisation identified along the granodiorite-metasediment contact. Flynn’s ongoing work continues to build confidence in the project’s potential to host multiple high-grade gold deposits, positioning it as a significant player in Tasmania’s mineral exploration landscape.

While assay results from some trenches remain pending and drilling outcomes are awaited, the current findings at Double Event inject fresh momentum into Flynn Gold’s exploration narrative, suggesting that Golden Ridge could be on the cusp of a major gold discovery.
