Multi-Kilometre Gold Trend and Base Metals Zone Identified at Bunker Hill

Expanding the Gold Footprint

AuMEGA Metals Ltd has reported encouraging exploration results from its 2025 surficial geochemistry and geological mapping program at the Bunker Hill Project in southwestern Newfoundland. The highlight is the definition of a new multi-kilometre gold trend along the Branch Fault Corridor, a major structural feature that has seen minimal historical drilling despite nearby gold intercepts. This discovery suggests a larger, more connected mineral system than previously understood.

Polymetallic Potential Emerges

Beyond gold, the Nitty Gritty area within the project is gaining attention as a polymetallic target. Elevated copper, lead, zinc, and silver responses in till samples, supported by historical high-grade surface samples, point to a base metals opportunity. Importantly, re-logging of drill core has identified previously unrecognised intrusive textures, providing a fresh geological framework that could explain the mineralisation and guide future exploration.

Structural Insights and Target Prioritisation

The company has also established a priority target zone at Bunker Hill West, aligned with a northwest–southeast structural trend now observed repeatedly across the project. Additional target corridors to the north and southeast indicate a broader system scale, reinforcing the district-wide structural interpretation. These insights have allowed AuMEGA to refine and rank its targets, focusing on areas with strong geological confidence and scale potential.

Looking Ahead to 2026

AuMEGA plans to extend till sampling and detailed geological mapping to further define drill targets. A focused diamond drilling program is scheduled for summer 2026, targeting a select group of high-conviction areas rather than broad early-stage coverage. Assay results from the Isle aux Morts Granite and Hermitage geochemical surveys, as well as diamond drilling from Cape Ray, are expected in the first quarter, which will provide further clarity on the project's potential.

The Bunker Hill Project forms part of AuMEGA’s extensive 110-kilometre landholding along the Cape Ray Shear Zone, Newfoundland’s largest identified gold structure. This zone hosts Equinox Gold’s Valentine Gold Project and AuMEGA’s own growing mineral resource base.
